I want to know how you can be a New listing an dbe a Superhost? Do you earn it on one listing and get it automatically on any property you list? Seems a bit unfair to me. I have been busting my butt to become a Superhost and go online tonight to find a New Listing with Superhost beside it!
@Susan1882 A SuperHost is a host that has earned the title and is not affiliated with a specific listing. So, yes. If you are a SuperHost, close your original listing and open a new one, the title follows you.
Superhost status follows the host and not the listings.
So you just have to earn it once and then you may open a new one and automatically assume the new place will have 10 bookings in what amount of time? And that every guest will give you great ratings on the new place also. Ok
@Susan1882 It is not the listing that becomes "Super" it is the host. A superhost can open up a new really sh1tty listing and then lose their superhost in a very short amount of time. You will become a superhost once you reach 10 reviews. Don't worry. And then you can add on more and more listings. But if those new listings get low scores, you will lose your superhost fast.
@Susan1882 There isn't any point in "busting your butt" to gain Superhost status. Even one nasty, vindictive review from a bad guest can tank your ratings and prevent you from achieving it, or cause you to lose it, even if you're the most stellar host out there. It's not a good idea to get too emotionally wrapped up in it. Just be the good host I'm sure you are, and if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't. Not worth stressing over or thinking much about, really.
You know Sarah, I think your right. I have been reading a lot in the community and see lots of complaints about the grading system with Airbnb. So I will continue to let my guest come first and be the best I can be, and Airbnb can do the same.
@Susan1882 as Sarah and Emilia already pointed out, "Superhost" is really just a useless gimmick, designed by Airbnb to manipulate and control hosts. I would not obsess or worry over achieving it. There are really no benefits to it. Just continue to do the best you can and be the best host you can be. 😉
Thank you I think that is good sound advise! I will take it.
