Suspicious mail received !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have received an mail  as if from Airbnb, asking me to confirm my mail address which seems suspicious to me. It is sent from a gmail address and reads as follows:

"As part of our efforts to provide a safe and secure service, we regularly screen all accounts activity. While reviewing your account, we noticed a problem with your e-mail address and to verify your account you need to confirm it.
We recommend to complete the steps immediately to avoid any further problems.
Best Regards,
Airbnb Trust and Safety Team"

It was sent from the address : rkomka@gmail.com
I cannot find the airbnb mail address to forward the message to them, so I am presenting it here. Seems very, very, suspicious!!!

@Jelka0, I agree. 100% suspicious. Awkward wording and unauthentic email address. Ridiculous premise - we are sending you an email to say your email doesn't work.

I don't know where to send it on - would just delete it myself because there are millions of phishing emails out there and this is only one more - but posting it here will give the community a heads up and hopefully no one falls for it. Thanks!

Thank you, In this mail there is the tab shown: Verify my mail address , and when clicking on it  the link looking like airbnb site  opens asking me to login. I'd like to show the message to airbnb but don,t know how.

@Jelka0   Looks like phishing for information.  Info to Contact Airbnb  suggest twitter, might have the quickest response.

P.S. Never, ever,  click on a suspicious link it could activate a download onto your computer.

For future reference, don't ever click on a link in an email from someone you don't know.  It could be an executable piece of code that loads viruses onto your computer.  Don't do it.  Not ever.

Email not from an Airbnb address

A link to a non AirBnB site

What could go wrong?

David

I have deleted the mail, what else could I do? Change password and what else?

I have not logged in through that link.

Thank you all for responding, this is my first experience of that type and am rather confused now.

@Jelka0 It was a phishing email, and unless you responded to it  (clicked the link, entered your login and password), you are very likely safe. They didn't gain access to your account.

There is a way to report these emails to Airbnb - forward them to report.phishing@airbnb.com
