Hi guys
Advice needed should I complain to air bnb about the condition for the swimming pool see pics below of what it should look like and currently.
I messaged the host on day one to say we were not too happy about it with a toddler and a baby it was one of the main reasons for renting their house.
It is a 3 week booking which was mad 3 months in advance.
Thanks for your help.
It looks more like a fishpond....If you can not solve the problem with the host, you can contact Airbnb:
Contact Airbnb - A Community Help Guide [UPDATED]
Try to keep all communication with the host in the message system, so Airbnb can access it.
best regards,
Emiel
It doesn't look very inviting, but it isn't that clear in the original pic tbh. Is it one of those 'natural' pools ie. no chemicals?
@Gordon0 It's not a natural pool - those have the plants planted in them. The plants clean the water. Even natural pools properly maintained shouldn't look like that.
SO you messaged host on day 1, what day are we in now? Fix this immediately, because your chance of a refund depends on speed or host can say ''you stayed, ergo you pay''. Personally I think this warrants a refund. The pool is the attractant for your trip, there is no useable pool as advertised.
Even if they were to send a poolperson, I would want to see all the readings myself. I have had a pool and see it go like this very quickly when it got too hot and the chemicals were too low for the heat (there is a fine line of low chemical and temperature.). I would increase chemicals, clean the filter and run filter withouth heating for a couple of days continously, and it would clear. So it will not be a quick fix even if they send someone and meanwhile, your holiday plans are not as they should be.. If host has other pool listings, get placed in them if free. If not, you need a new place to stay and you need it now. Unless you are happy to stay for the period it takes to get pool right? In that case, I suggest a refund for those days only.
I would be upset if our fishpond looked as bad as that,
I asked my husband how to put that right Quick he said drain it and refill with clean water and the right amount of chemicals he said that not been cleaned for a while to get like that.
