I have a guest that is supposed to check in today and I have heard nothing from them since I sent check-in instructions back on June 5th. I have sent a couple more emails asking them to confirm they have received my instructions and have heard nothing. The phone number given for them is an international number. Is it up to me to call them, or am I to wait for them to contact me? I do not plan to be home this evening when they're supposed to check in and if they didn't receive my lock box instructions, they will be out of luck.
You have done everything you needed to do - one final email on the system perhaps stating the lockbox instructions. Otherwise it could well be that they are not coming, or are on a particularly long transist - who knows...
Thank you! I'll give it one more shot and hope for the best. I'll be reachable by cell phone, so with hope - they will call and they will speak English!
Totally agree with @Gerry-And-Rashid0 -You've done everything you can. I'd send one last message that you've needed to make your own plans for the evening & won't be home during x time, that they can use the lockbox. If you're reachable by cell, perhaps add that. You may also point out any nearby cafes they could kill time in if they need to.
Well, if they get the email regarding local cafes, they would get the lock box instructions. I like the way you think though - I'll leave a note on the door as to my return time with restaurant/cafe recommendations and my cell phone number. My guess is, maybe they don't have a cell phone with them and have not been looking for email in their travels.
