The guest says she has not gotten the security deposit back.

The guest says she has not gotten the security deposit back. Do I have any way of confirming this? Doesn't Airbnb take care of collecting and returning the security deposit ?

All payment issues are a matter between the guest and Airbnb. Tell her that she must contact Airbnb customer support if she has a problem.

There's a link in her confirmation email that points to contact information.

 

She didn't get it back because she never paid it. Airbnb does not actually charge the guest the security deposit.

They may have put a hold on her card for the amount but they will release that.

 

How does Airbnb handle security deposits?
