Timeframe to Pre-approve

A guest messaged me yesterday to come and look at our Airbnb today. She decided it will not work for her family. I did not pre-approve or decline her request. I’m still within the 24 hr timeframe. What should I do or what should I have done? Will this hurt my response time/rating if I didn’t pre-approve? We are just starting to host our Airbnb

First: it is not common on Airbnb guest are coming before booking to have a look at the place.

If you answerred the inquiry (I guess there was at least some communication about the viewing), then do nothing. You also can remove the inquiry from your dasboard (click on it and it says "remove from dashboard")

Pre-approve the inquiry. The prospective guest will let it lapse and your stats will not be affected.

@Shona33  do as @Lisa723  says. It will just expire.

@Shona33  Do not let anyone preview your place. For all you know they're thieves casing the place. It's a security risk. They can see your place on the photos, otherwise they see it when they book and arrive for their booking.
