So, I booked a place earlier this week so that some girlfriends could celebrate my friend's 29th birthday out on the town. It was kind of expensive for the one night but our IG pics will be so cute and we'll be a much closer to the wineries than if we'd stayed at my house. But now the host is saying that we can't come early and we have to check out on time. And also she wants me to tell her the names of all the guests who are coming and sign a contract that says we'll take good care of the place. What?! This is an AirBnB! If I wanted to cleanup after myself, I would have stayed at home.
The last straw is that we have an extra friend who may be able to come if she can work out babysitting overnight for her kid, but this host is saying that we have to pay if we bring extra people. So, I'm totally over it and want to cancel, but the stay is tomorrow! Shouldn't this host give me a full refund for how much trouble she's causing me? What would you do?
Ok, you really had me going! Maybe cuz I’m still a newbie. 🙂 unfortunately we ran into a few of these types of guests very early on. Thanks for the laugh!

Kelly,
You may not realize this is a host community but since you're asking...
I would have declined you just with "friends celebrating 29th birthday", then you price haggled?
Oh, it's a joke. You got me! Wow! You should be a writer, you have "entitled little jerk" down cold!
Good one! You had me fooled!
And yep...been there, had a guest like that! So have my neighbors 😆
Sorry for the whiplash, its just that as it was unfolding I could totally picture this guest with her wounded, poor me sob story going to CC for backup so I thought I’d leave an Easter egg for some future hapless guest who would be reading and agreeing with the OP and then would have to realize in the comments that their attitude was garbage and yes, Better Suited to a Roadside Motel.
