My boyfriend sent me a link for a $40 credit with my first booking (over $75). I tried to use it and it says that I'm not eligible. I've never booked before with Airbnb, I'm positive of that. I did have an account that I'd set up a while back (only an email address since I was just exploring it, and it was probably over a year ago), so I thought that was the problem. I made a new account with an alternate email, but it said the same thing. I'm disappointed.
So is the credit actually for a first booking? Or if you had an account ever, it doesn't allow it?
Same thing happened to me. Makes you not want to book when they're not even honoring the travel credit they promised on sign up.
I was sent a link, it said click here for the $40. I am new to the site and never booked before, but it says in my messages," Travel credit not applied. Referral credit can only be claimed if you're new to Airbnb."
Scam? Do they ever honor this?
Nik
same here, so how can we get back the credit?
The same thing just happened to us! Is there a phone number I can call??

Same thing happened to mee too. Really don't understand!
I wish that someone who knows what went wrong could respond. I'd really like the $40 credit.
I received a travel credit, due to expire soon ... may I apply it to an upcoming trip where I am a guest, rather than the primary host who booked the trip ... as a way of "use it or lose it" and to contribute?
Airbnb sent me an email with a code for a $100 credit to use within 1 year. I no longer have the email. How can I recover that offer?
