Canthis be answered asap? I had a guest contact me saying she wanted to book but she was asked for verification. I haven't marked this as required as part my instant booking requirements. My guest has been unable to upload a photo as she doesnt use socil media. The application is marked as closed but is still shown on my calender. Why was this required? How can I reopen the booking. Im feeling very frustrated as this lady has booked with me because of a family emergency.

Regardless of your verification requirements, Airbnb have a minimum verification requirement of their own/ part of their T&C which all members must meet in order to use the platform - https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/450/what-is-verified-id

I had a 5 night request that cancelled because she was asked to download a video of herself and also did not have social media accounts. She was told that Airbnb sometimes will require this even if the host does not require verification. She got frustrated and decided not to use Airbnb.

It is a tricky one, you have some people who want a full background check effectively and are disappointed that ABB do not do that and others who just want the booking.

ABB have their sweet spot, other services are less demanding.
