Wedding night

We have a couple coming for two nights to celebrate their wedding night at our barn. I can make our space very lovely and special for them but is there anything anybody else did that worked really well to have in the room - we have a one room barn with a king size bed and attached bathroom - that would be a little extra?

@Emily908- many of my bookings stem from participants in weddings at a popular place in Porterdale, Georgia.  If you google Porterdale weddings, you can see the old mill that has been converted.  I'm about 10 minutes from there.  Others come for family in the area and a few come for the local Vampire Diaries tour.  Glad I was able to help a little.  I am quite sure your newlywed guests will love your place and your extra efforts will be the icing on the cake.

Hi @Susan1404  we have had a number of enquires for the bridal party to get ready at our house before the wedding and use on the wedding day. We allow instant booking so the bookings get booked on the standard rate. I feel though that even this type of booking should need to pay extra given the extra attention given to it. Do you charge extra and if so how do you approach this?

@Poppy34- sorry so late answering you.  I've been in the hospital due to gall bladder issues.  If you want to charge extra for this, which is understandable, you need to stipulate in your house rules that wedding preparations at your Airbnb location would incur extra charges.  You might want to check with Airbnb and see if they have any suggestions as to how to handle this.  I haven't encountered that issue, but if I did, I would wish to charge extra as well.  Right now I'm totally shut down until the virus issue is under control, but thank you for giving me something to consider for my own Airbnb cabin.

@Emily908 :

Some flowers, a personalised card “well wishes for the new MR and MRS”, string lights and more little LED lights and LED candles.

The ordinary becomes the enchanted extraordinary, when warm white lights are utilised. NoT cool white!

I hadn’t thought of LED candles, great idea!

Love the idea of fresh flowers, strawberries and chocolates.  LED candles would be a nice touch and then no worry about real candles starting a fire.
