I posted this on New Hosts but no response so far. Maybe someone here can help. I have my minimum pricing set at $65/night. I have smart pricing turned on and I have weekend pricing set at $90. Most of the dates shown for the next few months show a variatioon of from 65 to 80$/night except for the weekend dates which consistently show $65/night, my base rate. What am I doing wrong?
Smart Pricing, from what I understand, works to keep your listing booked which isn't the same as being profitable. Perhaps, for your market the weekend rate you would like is not correct for the amount of business Smart Pricing is suggesting. If you would like to have your listing booked at a set price for the weekends you will have to remove Smart Pricing and do it manually.
Hi @Richard146 You must have figured it out, as I just looked at your calendar and for the random dates that I looked at, the weekends are consistently at $90 per night.
The pricing page takes a bit of getting used to. I have smart pricing on as well, and I use a minimum of my own, as I find the suggested minimum is too low. I'm not sure whether smart pricing is really that smart, but I'm looking for any edge to push me up the rankings, so I use it.
Smart Pricing will override Weekend Pricing when it is turned on. If you want to keep weekend prices inflated, you must do so manually and override Smart Pricing. Or turn Smart Pricing off.
