What does kid friendly mean?

Hi!  I am new to hosting.  I keep going back and forth on if my place should be listed as kid friendly.  Basically, I have absolutely no problem with people bringing their children of any age.  However, I don't provide ammenties such as a pack n play, etc. and the place is not "baby/child proof."  I would love to hear some opinions/suggestions on how to list my space.  Thank you!!!!

I think you could check kid friendly, but clarify what you mean with something like "Families are welcome at this location."  I don't think families would assume a crib is provided or anything just because kid friendly is checked.

Thank you!

Absolutely - I hope nobody would just assume you had all the child 'trappings'.

I would think it was about general things like a home that's easy to navigate & no pets or pets that are trustworthy with kids.

But if you did have 'extras' for children then that might be something you could put somewhere on your listing so that guests understood what it is that YOU mean when you say kid friendly.

Thank you!

friendly to children just means that you welcome them, many listings don't!

As long as your place isn't dangerous/overly fragile it is not a problem. Mine is definitely unsuitable, water in the garden, odd steps etc.

Thanks!

@Elisa73  The first step in offering a child friendly rental is that it has to be suitable for children, i.e. "baby/child proof". There are many local laws that state what you need by law for a child friendly rental.  If an injury, accident happens because your place is not child-proof you might be liable.
