Hi
I'm new to hosting and have had a few amazing experiences so far but the last one wasn't the best and I'm not sure how to review it. I'd appreciate any advice!
We had a gentleman book for 3 weeks for 1 person. Initially we were going to decline it as it was a longer stay than we prefer but I hadn't figure out I could limit the nights they book at that point so my fault. I messaged the gentleman leading up to the stay and I would get one word answers back and all he said was he was coming for travel.
So when he arrived for check in he had his fiance with him. He then went on to tell me that his parents were flying in from India at midnight and would also be staying. I was obviously confused and said that he had only booked for one person and he said because he didn't want to pay the extra amount ($10 each over two people). I wasn't sure what to do so I contacted Airbnb and they said that they could contact him and ask him to find somewhere else. We opted for that as he was far from forthcoming with us and it changing from 1 to 4 people simply because he didn't want to pay the extra. We did allow them to stay two nights so they could find somewhere else (there was a lot to choose from in the area and I helped them by sending them listings).
I'm expecting a negative review because we wouldn't let just his parents stay here when he asked for that as well.
So what sort of review do I leave him and I suppose there isn't much I can do about what review we get from him?
Thanks to everyone!
