Why did the prices for the exact same date and number of people change within a few hours (host said

I was looking at a room that was originally about 800usd for our whole stay, but I was discussing the details with the host before booking. Admittedly, I kept returning to the page, but didn't really book yet. When I was ready to book, it was 870usd for the exact same dates... Host said she didn't change the price.

Why is this happening???

The listing can be set on "Smart pricing", which means the system is dynamically changing the prices, based on certain algorithms

But you can allways ask the host if he is willing to offer you the same price as initially shown.
