Hi Air BnB,
Many of your clients are saying their listings don't show up on your website when both they and their friends search for a particular listing.
What's the story? Are you having IT problems?
Can we get any direct answers from Air BnB or do we have to wait to hear back from a good hearted non-paid fellow consumer of your service to try to guess for us?
Hoping things get resolved soon.
Kind regards,
Steve.

Hello @Steve453,
As a "good hearted non-paid fellow consumer" i like to tell you that most of the people here shouting "my listing can not be found" making mostly the mistakes mentioned below:
- Not enough patience. As a new host publishes a listing, it will be verified and checked, can be up to 24 hours or more before the listing is integrated. (TOP reason !)
- Want to be right away on top of search results. Offcourse you have to earn your ranking first. And in busy area's you are among hundreds of fellow hosts.
- Not performing a correct search and not zooming in on the map to narrow search results.
It's a minority which really have some technical problem. You can check other postings about this subject on this community, also there is a community guide answerring the most common questions about this subject.
BTW Your listing can be found and is integrated in the system:

Hope this helps,

Hi Emiel, I agree, the only problem here is expecation management. Have it in bold text where people are listing their property that it may take 24 to 36 hours for their property to show up and "please be patient". Other marketing platforms do take just a few hours or less for your adverts to show up (eg. Gumtree), and that is probably the expectation of most consumers these days unless they are clearly told otherwise in an automated email telling them that, or at the point of listing. Both of these things would be fairly cheap automated changes that AirBnB could make. However, there are other issues in the AirBnB search system that can probably be improved, as mentioned below.
@Steve453, it is exactly as @Emiel1 describes.
The vast majority of the time that people post "My listing is not showing up" they are either brand new hosts who created their listing mere hours ago, or someone who does not know how to find their listing among all the competing listings.
There are a few cases where it is something different, but many of those are fixable by editing the address, or making sure they have put in all their availability settings, or learning about some quirk of the AirBnB search algorithm.
Even rarer are those who genuinely can't be found. It is a very small number. If you work with databases of the scale used by AirBnB (or Facebook, or Amazon), you know these things can happen. Those genuine glitches are handled by AirBnB technical staff.
What kind of information are you looking for?
By the way: if you were looking for your listing, I found it at #13 of 224 in the Maylands. It was right on the first page for me.
I also posted this to your other comment in the long "Listing not showing up" thread.
Matthew, I waited about 24 hours for my listing to show up (next day) not mere hours. As a professional in realestate I work with other property marketing platforms and I have a fair idea of how they perform in comparison. Yes Air BnB often have more listings from other suburbs visible in the suburb you are searching, than the actual properties available in the area you are searching, which does not make it any easier for guests to find properties in those suburbs, or for hosts to find their own properties. Having said that AirBnB still have many advantages over their competition.
Hi,
I am having the same problem - neither I nor my friends can find my listing on air bnb, even though my home dashboard shows it as 'listed'. I am not a new host and was previously at the top of the listings for my area - now I am nowhere to be found.. Why is it now impossible to get to speak to anyone from Air Bnb??
