I've had an instant booking but am wondering what you would do? Here are the details -
Guest reviews - none
Verifications - one (a mobile phone number)
Message when booking - 'Between 4 and 5 on tuesday afternoon.'
Booked two days ahead for 3 adults midweek (quite unusual here). I do have their vehicle registration (a Ford Transit) for our digital parking system, though. The booking is worth almost £200 to me.
I'm interested to know how you would approach this?
Ben
FWIW I have friends who as guests are quite leery of hosts requiring ID, due to identity theft concerns. It’s not obvious to them that providing it to ABB doesn’t mean the host sees it.
That's a really good point...
We checked the box requiring a government ID after having a few bad experiences. So far it doesn’t seem to have reduced our bookings.
Quick update - The guests turn out to be 3 young men working away from home, probably thinking ABB will save them some money and be nicer than staying in a hotel. I'm going to suggest they upload some sort of ID, which will give them more choice when it comes to booking in the future.
I'm still thinking of ticking the government ID box, though!
