Wrong price given to guest

I have noticed that for a few of our recent bookings guests have been charged $10 less per night than the price we have set on Airbnb.

 

Any idea why this has happened? We certainly haven't changed our pricing.

Are these bookings for a week or more, maybe its a length of stay discount?

Is the difference the fee airbnb takes from the price?

For a month each, made for a total of 3 months but paid monthly.

I had a guest to be Pre-approved but Airbnb quoted a much lower price than already agreed. But I pre-approved it anyway. 

Then the guest asked for a further discount as he was going to book for 3 months. He admitted that he already gt a 45% discount, which was the special offer that should have expired by Aug. 15! Hence the new pricing I agreed on with Airbnb.

I agreed to give a small amount of reduction, as I already pre-approved him..

He booked yesterday, demanding the further discount.

To my surprise, the rate he paid was EVEN LOWER that the Pre-approved rate, which HAD DISAPPEARED, so I couldn't review & screenshoot it!

I'm really disappointed with Airbnb for not sticking to the Pre-approved rate. This has never happened before!

Now the client is dissatisfied with me, and it's not even my fault!

Can someone from Airbnb explain to me WHY the rate given to a new client is back to the old rate? It's ridiculously so low--you can compare it to the new bookings' rates made in Aug for Sep & Dec, which already used my NEW rate!

Also, the LOWER published rate for this Pre-booked client became EVEN LOWER when he reserved it! And that previous rate HAS DISAPPEARED, a good thing I still have my chats with the client mentioning this!

This has never happened before, the confirmed rate was ALWAYS the same as the Pre-booked one!

I'm really shocked & disappointed!

You have a 45% discount for monthly stays and a 20% discount for weekly stays.
