Hi, thanks in advance for any help. I am very frustrated about this issue and somehow i cannot find a way to contact airbnb directly.
So, I sent a message to the host asking about check in time.
Sometimes people is flexible regarding check in/ out times, so I thought it would be a good idea to check with the host before booking.
I sent him a message asking if I could drop off my luggage and take a quick shower at my arrival time that was earlier than their check in time.
I dont know how but it seems I accidentally requested to book the place.
So the host accepted it before reading my messages where i was clearly saying I'd like to know if this was possible, BEFORE BOOKING.
Now he sent me an approval saying I was welcome to wait for about 3 hours in the comfortable couch at the lobby.
I am furious.
He could´ve said it wasn't possible for them to let me in earlier than their stated time. Instead of accepting my request.... am i right !?
Now he's not getting back to me after several attempts and messages...
what am i supposed to do now...?
Hello @Valentina130 you should not be furious, that won't help.
Instead you should look better at exactly what you are doing as it seems you've done it all wrong since 2014 as a host yourself.
Next time, try to go for listings that do agree with your check in time, that will help avoid getting into a timetable that does not suit you. Hope it makes sense
Sounds like you want to cancel your booking.
Check-in times should always be honored. Period.
Did you not send an inquiry? If you requested a booking instead of sending an inquiry, the error is on your end.
