airbnb charges?

I am in the midst of booking for next year's Sturgis motorcycle rally and see airbnb is charging me 27.2% for booking my place. Has this happed to anyone else? They state the rate is 3%..why would it be so much?

Nothing has changed. Hosts pay 3%. Guests 6-12% depending on type of booking.

Hello Joette, 

I tried booking your place, it looks like your weekly discount is 20% off, your monthly discount is 53%. I'd suggest giving no more than 10% discount ever. Otherwise it's better to book for a month even if a guest just needs 2,5 weeks. Maybe your current discounts brought down your total payout instead of airbnb fees: 20% weekly discount + 3% from the guest + 3% from you in airbnb fees.
