bad experience

Hi, I had a bizarre experience as a host with my first guests. They where 2 Chinese ladies just for one night. As I was informed they were leaving my flat at 4. I went that time to have my key back. They did't open the door. I had another key buy I found it a bit impolite to go in. Then I called a local girl who is their colleague. (I'd been given her mobile number before, they didn't communicate with directly with me). She said that they were waiting to a driver. I waited, they still didn't come out, didn't open the door and even didn't answer me. I think this is too disrecpectful behavior.  After 45 minutes of waiting I called their colleague again and asked to inform them that I could not wait and they could leave the key to the security guard. Finally, when I went in my flat there was a mess. They left a lot of garbage. On the floor were empty bottles, plastic bags, etc.

So, I would like to know is there anyone having similar experience and how should I react all of this?

Welcome to the world of hosting ! Those "problems" are rather common. If a guest stays after check-out time, be firm and enter the accommodation. They have no legal right to be there and you maybe have to prepare for next guests.  And why communicate through a 3rd party anyway ?

If guests leave a mess (not damage) mention it in their review.

Best regards,

@Nutsa3  's check out time is "12AM (midnight)" !! I've never seen that before.
