I had a guest that admitted breaking a vase worth about $100. It must have fallen from a height that dented the wooden hand railing of my stairs. They have offered to pay for it. Should I ask for a little more to compensate for the dents? I thought $150 might be reasonable. My place is almost brand new, so it has a shame that there is damage of this sort. Thanks!
@Marina67 Yes you should seek compensation for the dents, it's quite understandable to pay for this. Just reassure them you'll support it all with a receipt and take it to the resolution centre. You'll be asked to upload these documents and state the requested amount, the guests can then agree and it'll be deducted from their payment method.
