I understand that I can write a little not to mysef for example; guest is bringing dog.
But what I would REALLY like to see added is a way for us (as hosts) to show special events/packages for the guests on the calendar.
For example, over the weekend I would like to offer a "Couples Retreat" package that includes wine, chocolate and robes. By adding these notes the guests would understand the difference in price.
How can I do that? or If it isn't possible, could you add it. Or better yet, add a section for us to "add special amenities" that we can assign $ amounts to.
For example: Couples Massage $120.00 or Hayride $20.00
this is a great idea... i am planning special valentine's day getaways now for our bnb ... and our rates will go up that weekend ..
You just need to add it to your listing details. Some hosts create "pictures" and make it the listing landing so that you have the special weekend pricing highlighted right on the search results page. Hosts do this for special events in their area - like an informational poster. Then it should be very clear to the guest that you are offering only a special price for certain weekends because you are offering a number of add-on services.
If the services are optional, list them and the prices in your detailed description and send the guest a Resolution Center Request for the cost of the value-add service when they accept or Special offer with the add-ons included in the price. Same goes for dog fees, bike rentals, whatever other additional service you want to include outside the normal price.
Thank you. I'm still not sure I 100% understand. LOL! I'm a slow learner. Do you know of any AirBNB hosts/locations that do this that I could look at as an example?
Thanks!!
Kelly
Which one do you want an example for exactly? Someone who creates the marketing poster to add to their photos or someone who lists the add-on services in their listing description?
Would it be too greedy if I asked for examples of both? 🙂
Did you get to see any examples? I thought if I used notes for events in my area my potential guests could see this but after I added some I realized I had no idea how they would see this. I tried booking for my Airbnb on a date with one of these events but it did not come up when it showed my place. It sounds lie you have to add this somewhere else but I am not getting it either from the person who described it.
Just mentioning @Kellylynn0 back into this thread, so she receives a notification about your reply. 🙂

Sorry, @Kellylynn0 - my bad, I didn't get notified of your request.... let me see if I can find some
Okay, I couldn't quickly find other Airbnb host examples, but there are people who do this regularly (or at least used to) for the special activities in their town. An Apple Festival comes to mind as well as someone did it for a Jamboree somewhere....
What you do is either use a picture of your own - don't use someone else's work! - and then edit the photo with text over top to include the special weekend price special. Something like this:
And upload this to your pictures so guests know this is an option if they stay with you for a weekend. You can easily add and delete pictures as the special weekend packages come and go. Then if it were specific to a weekend and not just an additional add-on service, like you are providing tickets to a concert in your area, you go into your calendar and manually edit that the weekend to ensure that the reservation must be for 2 nights and what the specific price per night is going to be.
Alternatively, in the listing description, you would create a space called: Add-on services and list them and the price for each option. That way a guest can add whatever options they want and you would charge them through the resolution center. It could be as simple as saying: we offer a number of additional services: a couples massage, wine & cheese welcome basket, hayrides for a small fee. Then when the guest books you can send a price list and ask if they'd like anything additional (use the 'Saved Messages" section for this price list).
I know I've seen both of these on people's listings but I can't find either right now in the moment. Hopefully my description of both helps.
Absolutely LOVE the Rent-A-Wiener program.... so awesome. You could definitely make a "photo-flyer" of this program for your listing pictures so guests who just cycle through the pics see the option to donate to the rescue. What an awesome idea. When Experiences come to your neck of the woods, you might be able to show people how to run a foster program and take care of so many fosters all at once.
