cancellation with a scheduled guest

I have current guest that has been a guest for several days in the entire home and has it booked for 24 days.  They have requested 3 additional night at the end of their stay.  I have recent booking that made plans for those days.    

How do I cancel the newly scheduled? 

Does it hurt my hosting ratings?

What is fair?   

Some diaglogue and suggestions on this would be helpful?

If you cancel the booking it will ruin your commitment rate and prevent you from super host status for one year. Tell the other guest it's too late and you can't cancel or you will be penalized. They will have to find other arrangements.

Why would you cancel on the poor people who booked your place in good faith and are now happily planning their trip? This kind of stuff gives Airbnb a bad name. You should honor the booking that you accepted. 

Of course honor the commitment for the party that has reserved and paid for your space.  Tell the current guests you'd loe to help them but you can't.
