confused booking

hi

i recently booked a room in Germany and i just realised it is in the loaction different from i thought.

basically i searched for places near a uni and it poped up with quite nice pricing and location in the map. but now i found its only the same address (street name and house number) but different postcodes. i dont know why it was shown there where actually it is not there in the map but i guess its an system error. but i cannot make it anymore.

now i really wany to get it cancelled but when i message to confirm the address, host did not response in 2 days. and i mentioned earlier specificly about the uni im going to host but she did not tell me its 3 hrs walking.:(

in this case can i get any refund because its already within 7 days with strict policy. and a 20-day payment is rather huge for a student:(

hope to hear your reply.

@Yiting0 so the listing appeared on the map which you were satisfied with, but the system did not get the postal code correct so it used the street name and somehow there's an identical street name near the university which their listing got popped onto? It's really up to the host to make sure they've put the location correctly on the map.

Check the reviews - are there people who reviewed the place? How are the accuracy/location ratings like? If there are no reviews, it could be possible that this listing is bogus, which could explain why the host isn't responding.

I'd advise you to call Airbnb as soon as possible regarding this. You can find all their numbers here
