extension of a gift voucher

I have a gift voucher for being a superhost for 4 quarters.

The same expires in July. 

1. I tried using it for travel within the country and it was dec lined that it cannot be used for domestic travel.

2. Can it be extended for some more time as I do not plan a foreign holiday till July.

It will be a shame to let it go waste.

@Achla1, I was not aware that the superhost gift voucher could not be used for domestic travel. I was not aware AirBnB even made a distinction between domestic and foreign travel.

I just read the term of the Superhost gift voucher and the coupon codes, and they do not mention anything about domestic travel being excluded. I know you had a problem applying it to a trip, but perhaps there was another reason?

Can you try again to reach AirBnB support about this? It seems strange to require a host to travel outside the country, especially when the host lives in a very large country with ample opportunities for domestic travel.

Archie ,  I have successfully booked a domestic holiday break using my super host travel voucher just recently. You should contact Airbnb . Although that being said I realise that sometimes things vary a bit from Country to Country with Airbnb.  Good luck.

Perhaps the same conditions apply as for travel credit obtained by referring a friend.

The referral terms and conditions state that travel credits can't be used for domestic travel in India.

You can book foreign holiday accommodation with the credit any time before the July expiry date as the dates of the reservation can be after that.

The link below says the following.

Redeeming Travel Credits

Travel Credits may only be redeemed via the Airbnb Site, Application and Services. Travel Credits will automatically appear as Travel Credit on the checkout page, and must be used on a reservation within one year from the date they are issued. After one year, the Travel Credits will expire. Travel Credits are coupons issued for promotional purposes; they have no cash value and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash. Travel Credits currently may not be used for domestic travel in India due to local banking limitations.

I have the same issue with the expired coupons on 12/30/2021.  I wish that Airbnb sent us the notification that these coupons were about to be expired.  Besides I could not go overseas due to so many restrictions in Europe anyway.  Such a waste.
