host booking for guest

I have had guests ask to be on the waiting list in case there is future availability. Can I reserve it for them and then have them accept it so no one else grabs it while we are waiting for them to book?

@Diane599  No, you can't reserve it for them, what you can do is manually block off the dates, then let them know that they can book it. But they'll have to get back to you when they're ready to do the booking and you'll have to unblock the dates, because of course they can't book blocked dates, and they'll need to book right away. If you use IB, this could be tricky, as someone could possibly book those dates in the small amount of time it takes for the guests you want to enter their booking.

 Thanks Sara for your quick response, I  knew this but  I was hoping that there was another option with some of the new features that were rolled out. I guess not .
