how do I remove instant booking?

it seems as though Instant Booking has been the only option available to new hosts. A positively awful option, in my opinion.  I would always want to know a little bit about folks staying on my property, as I find a bit of an exchange before booking goes a long way towards a successful experience.

A new host recently posted that when she called Airbnb to protest, they turned off this feature for her.

She describes a possible workaround, though it means creating a new account. Perhaps you'll have some luck with it.
