keeping super host status

Hello fellow hosts! I was wondering about the requirements for keeping a superhost status. I am trying to find a relevant discussion but nothing came up. Airbnb's topics didn't cover my case so I decided to ask you.

I am becoming a superhost this month and I was wondering what do I have to do to keep the status. Is there such a thing as a minimum number of bookings I need to complete during the next 3 months (again 10? or how many?). Are there any other requirements except from having an average of over all ratings that is higher than 4,8 (80%) ?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Same as how you get it first time.

I would not over focus, seems to have no significant impact on your business.

Thank you for your reply @David126! Well, I believe you when you say that it doesn't affect much, but it is a nice token of appreciation for the good work and time I've put in this.

My only wonder is whether I need to host another 10 trips in (what?) 3 months? 1 year? or how long? and what if I don't?

Thank you also for mentioning the Community Help Guides, though they seem so chaotic to me that I cannot seem to get the info I am aiming for.

Thanks again for your reply. 🙂

Panos, I am scrambling to get 3 bookings by October 1st or I lose my Super Host.....I blocked for months while I renovated my upstairs and didn't want to host anyone w/workers coming in & out! HOWEVER, I did not realize that I have to have 10 bookings I believe in a year to KEEP it! It does matter...I would always call & make sure!

@Glenda10  Won't matter if you call you must have ten trips in the 1 year period to be a SuperHost.

I meant call just to make sure exactly how many he needs in the time period just so he understood better.

@Pano0

To become (or keep)  Superhost, you need to have an account in good standing, and over the past year*** (I assume past year means counting back from current day).

  • Hosted at least 10 trips
  • Maintained a 90% response rate or higher
  • Received a 5-star review at least 80% of the time you’ve been reviewed, as long as at least half of the guests who stayed with you left a review
  • Completed each of your confirmed reservations without canceling

You can track your progress in the Superhost section of your dashboard.

btw: The HELP section on your dashboard is a good source for articles. Less chaotic than searching the forum if all you are looking for is Airbnb terms, conditions and policy.

Thank you very much @Ange2! That's really helpful. I appreciate it.

So if I have understood correctly, once I get it in a few days it won't go away for one year as long as my (overall) reviews stay over 80% and I don't cancel or sthg. But is this regardless of how many trips I host in the next three months? What I mean is that, if I, for example freeze the listing, will I get to keep my status?

Sorry for the million questions and thanks again a whole lot! 🙂

@Pano0   It says 'Hosted at least 10 trips' on the requirement section, not sure what happens if you freeze your listing. If you click on the link I sent you will find more detailed  information.

Thank you again @Ange2 and I'm sorry once more for the many questions 🙂

It is assessed quarterly, @Pano0, but you are right that the stats are yearly. 10 trips a year, not a quarter, for instance. You should be able to snooze your listing without worry. Disclaimer, though: the longest I have snoozed my listing continuously is three weeks. I have never done it for an entire quarter, so I am guessing based on the stated policy. Perhaps someone who has snoozed their listing for a quarter or two without losing their badge will chime in with a definitive answer on that.

Thank you so much @Lawrene0! This is a big relief, since besides the option of snoozing that you have clarified to me, things can be quite slow during the winter. So it would feel like I'm trying for the inevitable (i.e. hosting 10 trips in 3 months). Thank you for the info as well 🙂

So if I’m understanding this thread correctly,  even though I’m in the slow season and not getting any bookings, I still keep my super host status if over the course of the year, I have 10 bookings? Thank you
