hi, im new to airbnb. what are they legal requirements concerning lease and rental agreement?
what do i need to start business?
hi @Kse110 , it really depends on where in the world you are located! Contact your local authority or government and talk to them! Airbnb also has a lot of information about what legal requirements in various countries and regions on their help pages, so if you search for your country or region in the Airbnb help centre you will most likely find quite a bit. I can't see from your profile where you're located, so its hard to say... https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/hosting
Good luck!
hi thanks for the info.
im located in the state of Florida.
Great, @Kse110 , then if you search this community forum you can find quite a bit, among other this discussion here: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help/Branching-out-to-florida/m-p/379168
Every municipality in Florida has different rules and regulations. Most don’t technically allow short terms rentals but they vary greatly if this is actually enforced. I work primarily in Pinellas and Manatee Counties and even within them there is a wide variance.
If you have a condo or are in a HOA you must also take those rules into consideration. They are generally more strict.
It also is a good idea to get a homeowners policy that covers short term rentals.
Any specific questions, just ask!
