In the description section of the manage listing feature there is an add language button in the top right hand corner.

Hi, i'm new here and i'm just writing down my advertisement on airbnb. I can't find this button to manage different languages... do you know if is it possible that the matter is that i haven't published the ad yet?

Thanx, Guia

same problem here, I am still in the editing process and I cannot find any + button for descriptions in other languages, does anyone have a proper answer?

Hi Michele,

I am thinking about doing the same thing. I live in the Czech Republic but have published my listing in Enlish. So now I'm considering a Czech version as well to make it more accessible to the locals.

If you need to add another language, go to Host - Manage Listings - Description (on the left), there is a red button in the top right corner "Add Language". This should do  the trick...

Hope it helps.

Awesome. I just couldn't find how to preview the add in that language. Do you know how?

I managed to add languages following the help you guys provided. My question is does Air provides the translation or I have to do it myself? Thanks

I have the same question.  I have spent some time doing this for some of my listings.  I want to make sure it is worth the time or if Airbnb does this automatically using Google Translate.

On the page to add more languages it says....

"Write a description in another language

Airbnb uses Google Translate to automatically translate your listing. You can also choose to add your own versions in other languages."

If this is the case is there really a point to doing this manually?

I hope you have gotten this answer. I would very much like to know as well.

I'm also looking for the definitive answer on the add language button....do you need to translate yourself or is it done automatically?

Hi, If I added Japanese as a 2nd language to my page, how can I check it? do you know where is the language button so I'll see it from the guests eyes ?

My guess is that the language of the description automatically matches the proffered language of the user's browser.

Hi,

I would like to be able to add languages too, and when I click "add another language" I do get to choose any language but once I change the text to that language the original (English) text changes into that new language...  Does anyone know how to keep multiple descriptions that you have written yourself?

I would also like to know how to keep my own translation. I made my description in English. I click to add French and wrote my own text, then saved. I can see it is saved on my listing when I click Edit description. But when French speaking friend and family member goes to my listing they can only get a google translation and not my own... 😞  So my problem is not exactly the same as yours but I wonder if anyone have figured it out. Thanks!
