When airbnb rolled out new benefits for superhosts, one of them was a personalized listing link that could be shared with potential guests. Mine was www.airbnb.com/r/my name/1331 but that now goes to a site with a checklist for referring hosts. I contacted airbnb Support chat and was informed that a personalized link never existed. Am I tripping?

It did exist, very briefly - at least for some users. It appears that Airbnb rapidly changed their minds about making it available for superhosts though, and instead, decided to keep that little perk exclusively for the professional and commercial operators on the platform, along with a whole range of other preferential practices and policies, designed especially for them.

"If you manage 6 or more listings, you can share all of your listings in one place through your pro marketing page. Your pro marketing page is a dedicated landing page where potential guests can browse all your listings as well as search your listings by date and number of guests. It also includes social media share buttons so you can easily share your page or the individual listings on Facebook and Twitter as well as via email and Facebook Messenger"
Airbnb does say that if you have fewer than 6 listings, you too can apply to be granted access to the Pro Marketing Tools, but in order to do that, you must supply your business name, business website and details of the VRM software you're currently using. Which of course, immediately excludes the vast majority of small, independent hosts.
I think they might be right, @Andrea164, that it never existed. There was much talk of it here in the forum when it was first promised, and I know I watched for it, because I have my listing URL linked to a few things. Never happened. But that doesn't mean you didn't experience some sort of Beta testing for it, or maybe, more likely, it just got confused with the referral link. A redirection or unclear explanation.
You're not crazy. 🙂
Thanks Lawrence. I actually called up support to find out the real story because I remembered using it in the past and it is still there at the top of my inbox but now it links to refer a host instructions. It is airbnb.com/r/myname/1331. The agent looked up the superhost benefit list for me. Number 4 on the list after: 1. $100 travel credit after each year of making superhost, 2. superhost badge and 3. priority phone support was 4. a personalized listing link. The agent then asked her superior about it and came back to let me know that it was done away with.

The homepage can act as good URL for the listings. Airbnb calls this also a "marketingpage". It is easy to create a custom URL, which redirects to the Airbnb homepage. You can buy a domainname doing the job or create a similar redirect if you own allready a personal website, examples "mywebsite.com/airbnb" or subdomain: "airbnb.mywebsite.com" etc.. I also use a simple script, which can redirect to individual listings by feeding it a parameter : airbnb.php?room=1 (or 2,3 4 etc..).
Your homepage is;
https://www.airbnb.com/users/70734073/listings
(And you allready uploaded a nice coverphoto, which most people forget)
Best regards,
Emiel
I received mail from airbnb that from 28th of August 2019 I can add personilized link to my offers. But when I click button, it redirects me to list with my offers and I was not able to find in system place to add this link.
8 days ago i was offered a personalized link too. See email below. I don't think it ever actually happened though. I never heard anything else about this. It's not like it is a big deal though. Right?

Anybody have any updates on this? Wondering if it was delayed...seems useful.
I received the link to create a custom URL today in my hosting dashboard. Clicking on it took me to a page to update my listing. I went through the three steps such as designating photos to bedroom/bathroom/exterior or common areas. When I was done I expected to land on the page that allows me to create this useful tool. But instead, it brought me back to the top of my listing page where I can see calendar or preview listing. I have a call into Nina at airbnb (who says she hasn't heard and doesn't know anything about custom URLs for superhosts). She will get back to me shortly. I will update with my findings.
Great news! Nina called me back and directed me to where I could and subsequently did create my custom URL. Yea! So here it is: On your listing page in the preview listing setting scroll half-way down the page and there it is. Custom Link. If you're a super host it will allow you to create a personalized link quickly and easily.
