@Brenda318 Well, of course it depends on where in the world one's listing is as to what is low season. Where i live, low season is summer- it's so hot and humid that most tourists aren't interested in coming here, plus that time of year is nice where they live.
I don't put my prices down during my slow season because it's not worthwhile for me to host for less than what I normally charge. I use that time for my own travel, and to work on things around my place and fine tune anything in the guest space.
Price tips are generally so off the mark that experienced hosts don't use them at all. Airbnb would have us all rent out our places at a loss as long as they get their service fees.
