"pay less upfront" issue

Hey all,

i am trying to make a booking, months in advance for over 1k that should qualify for the pay half upfront. but somehow i dont see this option. there is also no option to change from full to half in the booking page. this is strange as for other bookings i can see that option and have used it before. opinions?

All i can think off is the listing might have a superstrict 60 cancellation policy.

nahh. i figured it out i think. the issue is the discount. if the discount is applied, the pay less upfront still calculated from base price! this is actually annoying. @Airbnb shoudl resolve it asap. so for instance:

you want to book a place for 2000$, pay less upfront would be 1k. but if owner gives 40% discount, then total price becomes 1200$. BUT still your upfront payless is 1 and not 600$ as it should be (plus all the fees/cleanings etc....)

@Airbnb got back to me. i was wrong there. the pay less upfront simply not applicable to long stays over 28 days.
