@Yiwei0 Your host can instruct Airbnb to refund you through the Resolution Center. He or she doesn't have to receive it in order to refund you. Here's more info on how the Resolution Center works:
Airbnb collects the money when you book. They don't release it to the host until the day after check in, after you've made sure the place is ok with you and is as described. So it is not up to the host to return the money. That is a big part of why we all use Airbnb to begin with.
