reservations

The last 2 bookings I've had have left me great notes and have

written in my guest book but have not left reviews.  Is it appropriate to contact them and ask them to or just let it go?  Thank you!

Why not, there are nice ways to ask for a review and explain how important it is for you as a host.

I have contacted guests via the Air BNB platform and expressed appreciation should they take the time to leave a review.  One person thought since all my reviews were so positive, I didn't need another good review!

I don't actually ask for a review, but, a couple of days after they have left I send a message saying something like, enjoyed meeting you/having you stay/thanks for leaving the room so clean.... So they will then know that they will get a good review from me.  Sometimes I mention what they were doing here, or hope your drive/flight back to xxxx was good.  Or good luck with...... something they were working on/planning to do. Or congratulations on.... wedding/graduation/etc whatever they were here for.   Just a friendly note will often prompt a review without actually asking for one!
