reviews - AIRBNB´s policies

I read ( and still read in the help center) that reviews are only published once both host and guests complete their review.

I had guests where I preferred not to leave a review.

However, the guests review was published.

How can that be?

@Michael915

You mis read how the review system operates.

David

Hi David,

thanks for your answer.

I dont think so, as I found 2 different versions on AIRBNB, contradicting and therefore misleading.

One says only when both have done a review, it gets published. One other (actually when I start reviewing a guest)

says the total opposite, telling me that if one only does a review in the timeframe, it gets published.

@Michael915 So, either party has 14 days to write a review.

Neither can see see what the other wrote, UNTIL the 14 days are up (and there is no more opportunity to write a review) OR until both parties have completed their review

In other words if either writes a review at any point within the 14 days then it WILL be published at the 14 day mark regardless of what the other party does. BUT if both parties write their reviews THEN the review will be published immediately upon completion of the second review regardless of where it falls within that 14 day window.

There is no way to stop another party's review of you. Both have equal opportunity to review the other.
