why can't I turn off email notifications?

I have the app installed. Everytime I get a message, I get a push notification and an email. When I go to settings, there is no option to turn off ALL emails. Why not?

@Knut5  I change my push notification settings on my account.  Not sure if it is different on a device, but try that.  You can select wish notifications you want to receive.

@Knut5  I will give you a civilized response to your very rude remark.  If you looked at what I directed you to, you would have seen the option to turn off notifications.
