Airbnb - getting a straight answer - is it possible? Useless tips - especially for taxation.

I am in Canada. I rent to Canadians. We have GST in Canada. Airbnb (supposedly) has a new GST agreement with Canada. The tips sheet for taxation does not list Canada as a country. When I ask for more info - they direct me back to the same useless info sheet. It's a stupid endless loop.

Is Canada a banana republic or something.

If they do have the GST agreement, your local tax authority should be aware of it. So far have they shown your tax on bookings and withheld it from you? Did the taxes appear on your bookings last year, and if so did Airbnb release them to you so you could pay them? This is not an answer, but may help us to problem solve this  question. No, Canada is not a Banana Republic...too cold for that. <]:O)
