Alteration request - strict cancellation policy

hi all

so my guest booked for 11 nights, he meant to check out this Friday but decided to leave earlier. he checked in last Monday and wants to check out tomorrow, Wednesday. 

If I accept his alteration request, then it seems that he will be refunded for the nights he did not spend there however my cancellation policy is strict. 

I though that if he modify the bookings, he won't get anything back?

You do not need to accept the request, @Dora31.

You have 2 choices @Dora31 

1/ Accept the request, and the guest gets a refund for the nights not stayed.

2/ Decline the request, and you might get a negative review from the guest.

i do not believe this is fair. if i have strict cancelation policy in place and i deny the alteration then it might impact my review.
