App error when making a special offer

I was dealing with an inquiry from a repeat guest and using the Airbnb app. But it wouldn't accept it when I pressed 'Submit', gave an error (something about the server ... it only stayed visible for 2 seconds!) Tried several times. waited half a day, still no success. I was in anoter country at the time. Was this an Airbnb app issue when in Australia? 
I know we can 'alter' a price after a booking is accepted, but that is a very unweildy way to make a special offer.

Hi Brian, I haven't had any success doing a special offer from my APP version. Same thing happened to me so I had to go to my home computer and do it from there. The other thing I have found out that guests can not accept a "request to Alter reservation" from their APP either. They must do that from a home computer or laptop. Maybe this helps you a bit....
