Automatic blocking not worked

I've just had an instant booking that the guest should not have been able to make.  I have it set so that one night is automatically blocked between stays - always have, since I started Airbnb.  But this guest is arriving the same day that the previous guest leaves.  As she is not arriving until 18:00 I can cope with it on this occasion, but it's worrying - my normal check out is 12pm, and my check in is from 2pm, so if she had been planning to arrive at 2pm I would not have had time to clean.  Has anybody else experienced this?  I could phone Airbnb to try to get an explanation but I expect it would be shrugged off.

Dear Kathie, there seem to be several posts about problems with calendars, I'd send an email to support just for documentation & for what it's worth. (If you have to cancel an impossible to host booking)  I'm trying to respond to unanswered questions on this unseasonably cold & rainy day- at least it boosts your chances of being seen by wiser eyes, Sally
