Big bear taxes

Does anyone collect taxes from your guests in Big Bear Lake. It is a total of 11%. I have just been paying it without collecting it. Does anyone have any pointers or ideas. If I raise the nightly price 11% then I am still taxed on the higher price😕

@Tim665 Remember to let them know the exact $ amount of the taxes and tell guests you will be collecting it upon arrival. I did this with another platform and it was very easy to collect when handing over the keys. If your guests say they do not have the cash, offer to drive them to the nearest ATM. Congratulations on deciding to recover 11% of your profits!!! Besides having to pay more tax, if you added the tax to your nightly rate, you'd also be increasing the price for guests who would then be paying a higher commission to the website based on the 11% increase of your nightly rate. You made a good decision to just collect the tax at the door.
