Hi folks,
Airbnb owes me almost £800 for two guests who stayed over Christmas. I contacted them early in January and they initially told me on chat they would release the payment within a week.
A couple of weeks later Airbnb told me that in fact they were keeping the money as they had refunded a guest previously. However the refund for this customer was actually resolved through the resolution centre and came from my bank account. This was what I was told to do at the time by an Airbnb adviser on the phone.
2 weeks ago I pointed this out to them. Then they said they had forwarded the issue to "someone else who can better assist you and will get in touch with you soon".
"Soon" should be within a week maximum I think. They haven't responded to any further messages however, and so I have no idea how long they will take to resolve this.
It is really getting my goat now.
Hope this problem has not happened to many other hosts!
