Canceling a reservation

Canceling a reservation

Back in January I turned on instant book in the hopes it would aid in reservations during the slow winter months. Just now I see that a guest made a reservation in May 2018. We never have allowed reservations more than a year in advance, but somehow that setting was changed. It seems there's always gliches with any updates we make to rates, descriptions, etc.

Anyways, I've verbally committed the apartment, along with our other 3, during the same time period. How can I cancel this reservation without a penalty?

Eitheryou try with airbnb help center, explain the changed setting and ask them to cancel it.

Or else you ask the guest to cancel, which should be free or you give a refund. Maybe you plan to sell the house or have some lenghty renovation planned, which may not be finished 😉

people who plan so long in advance, will probably avoid such a risk.
