Canceling as a host

Hi,

 

Could use some advice- essentailly my lease ends August 31st 2016 and I have another place here in New York so I have been placing my other apartment on Airbnb to save money (paying 2 leases). A friend found someone who can take over my lease for the month of end of June-    July-August.

 

I need to cancel the rooms that have been booked for those months- any one have experience with cancelation policies/fees?

 

Should I just deactivate my Airbnb account?

I have someone coming in July that want me to cancel as the Host. I have strict as my policy , She says it will mean she looses all here security deposit if she cancels. I am a super host and if I cnael I will loose my status . How do I do this ?

You do not, she does, and nothing to do with a security deposit that is only called upon if there are damages.

You can always offer a full refund, as simple as clicking a button. Guest lose nothing except very small Air fee.

Sandra can you please tell me how to issue a full refund to the guest cause when i try the max is only a 50% as a stric policy please help me 😕

Depends on your cancellation policy. When you cancel they are refunded per the terms. The balance you can optionally refund via the resolution center.

When this has happened to me I have had a message from Air saying something like ''So-and-So has cancelled, offer full refund?'' I clicked the button, success. I am on strict too.

Hello everybody!

I cancelled reservation for November becouse my flat is not available at that moment and a guest reserved it instantly, becouse my properties from some reason weren't good adjusted, i was using my phone and i didn't noticed that instant booking is on..i'm fresh on site, this is my first listing.

I cancelled reservation immidiatly, and it was written that my cancellation will be observed within 6 months..and that every next cancellation i will pay 50 dollars..

now i don't know will airbnb charge me anything? will i pay some penaltie fees?

Can i do something about it?

P.S.

When i don't wan't instant booking i adjusted it in settings - booking- no one can book instantly, they have to wait for my answer? Is that it, is that all that i should do? Than i will recieve , before someone want's to book, their message, right?

I know i sound stupid with this questions, but i'm new and i really need help and i like to be sure 🙂 tnx
