A guest just had to cancel their booking for January 2018. My cancellation policy is set to moderate, so they should have got a full refund. However, they wrote and said that it was showing "strict" to them at their side. I said they should cancel anyway, and I'd refund them if necessary. I then received the cancellation notice and a request for half the fee. I agreed to pay, and the system said it would be taken off the next booking!!!!. Have I hust been duped?

@Jack67 Sounds like something is not on the up and up. If the guest wants to cancel then the guest should cancel. If there are any issues with the cancellation, the guest needs to work it out with Air BNB. At no time do you support the cancellation, just step aside. All the guest loses is the Air BNB fee while you can lose a lot more. All this is an automated process unless you contact Air BNB.

They did the cancellation, and then requested the money, and I paid it. Seems like they ripped me off. Is there any way to stop the payment? A number to call Airbnb - can't find one.
