Carbon monoxide detector

Hello everyone!

I'd like to transform my place in a Business Travel Ready accomodation and I am interested in setting a detector in my flat.

Two questions for you:

1. Do you have any suggestion on which one to buy? Any useful liks to share?

2. Can my guests still smoke in the flat if there's one detector in the flat?

Thanks in advance and have a great day,

Italian B.

Hello @Benedetta40.

As for which one to buy, you need to check local suppliers - you might get a bargain. And there are two types - CO detectors and smoke detectors.

When it comes to smoking, one of the reasons of installing smoke detectors is to deter smokers. 🙂 All my guests accepted that my place is for non-smokers, yet in a miraculous way there are burns on the carpet... I am also thinking of getting it.

Thanks for the pront response Marzena! I was wondering if existed a detector only for carbon dioxide which wouldn't work with cigarette smoke but I guess it is impossible.

Safety over bad habits!

Do you use a self check in too?

Have a nice day,

Well, I would recommed you to install Monoxide alarms as they are easy to acquire and are readily available in the market.
Like, Last month, I also had installed this alert smoke alarm by consulting our neighbor who had adviced me to hire some Electricians Conshohocken PA, on how to install the smoke alarm. Well, the good thing is that the electrician had helped me to install this smoke alarm and they also recommended us to install carbon monoxide alarms on every level of our home and as they said that it is much better to install it near sleeping areas.
