Guest brought other guests

Guest said specifically he was coming by himself and he brought 2 others, Airbnb says "I'm on my own," what does that mean? Do I have to call the police to have them removed?

@Penélope0 Well, that wasn't a very helpful answer!  Here are my thoughts:

1. Your listing says that you accommodate two people so assuming two will be sleeping in the same bed, that's ok.

2. The Extra People charge in Pricing says $0 which implies more than two is ok which clearly it isn't.  Go to your Price Settings and go to Additional Pricing where you will see Additional Guests.  Be sure that box is unchecked.  That will remove the Extra People at $0 on your listing.  Also, put in your House Rules and the Description of your listing that the maximum is two people. That way, guests will see that your maximum is two.  After you've made these changes if anyone shows up with more than 2 you can contact Airbnb and have them re-homed.

As to your current guests, hopefully it is a short term stay and yes, you'll have to deal with it as best you can.

Hope this helps at least for future reservations.

Alright I've put their items on the curb and called the police and a locksmith is changing the locks now. When will airbnb repay me for the cost of a locksmith at this hour?

@Penélope0 You will need to request compensation for the locksmith through the Resolution Center.  Here's a link:

Go all the way to the bottom of the page and click on Visit Resolution Center.  You will be able to request money there.

Are you sure you want to do that because they brought an extra person?

I agree. That's not the best way to deal with it. I would express to them my concerns. Let them stay the night. Either find alternative tmr or charge for extra person. Not kicking someone to the curb at night.

Unfortunately there is no way to settle this through airbnb so I have to cut my losses.

Yes, I promised my other guest that it would be me, her, and 1 other guest. I would also need my boyfriend over to help manage this mess, it's not worth ruining our 3 lives because someone is trying to sneak extra guests in.
