Just relisted after several months out, and found my "Entire Flat" now has a "Request to Book" button. I want to change back to a "Book" button (which used to be "Instant Book" but seems to have changed this year) I can't see any way to change the listing, and because the words are so common, it's almost impossible to google instructions. I went through the airbnb help desk, but the woman there was really confused and argued that it did really show "Instant Book" and it took me a long while to discover it doesn't! Now she's put it through Technical Support!
There has to be a simpler way. If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful
P.S> Under Booking Settings I have:
Hi Michael, this is apparently a bug with some accounts that they are "working on." Please have your case manager escalate it to the product specialists. The more people who report it, the faster they will take care of it. It's a huge problem.

Hi Nathan, Many thx - v. helpful. (Just seen this - had no usual email notification of your reply). Yes, the woman at airbnb - after first arguing that Request etc was really Instant Book - wh. wasted a few hours - then put it through to technical support. However, I am *still* waiting for action, several days later, despite one further request from me. For me, like you, this is v. expensive - all at a key Xmas period.
After reading your v. helpful thread, I wonder whether there is any way to fool the system back to normal. One guy there suggested changing the prices daily. Any other pos.? (I'll check back if I think of anything). My case involves relisting after several months unlisted (due to a local airbnb limit on bookings) - but I doubt the system would have penalised me for that.
Best
Mike
I'm still being dealt with - no idea when there will be a resolution. One comment in the latest airbnb person's email to me:
"Please note that we recommend that you use Google Chrome as your browser and also delete cache and cookies before the process as for some others who were affected, this workaround worked for them."
I always use Chrome for airbnb, though I haven't tried the cache and cookies. Anyone any thoughts?
PS My listing is screwed up in various ways related to this - changing to Instant Booking under Booking Settings is not recognized and I also can't block out calendar days this year (though I can next year).
Back to normal - took approx 2 weeks for tech support to correct.
