How to make a better Airbnb experience...

Searching for somewhere to stay while visiting family in London is frustrating with dear friend Airbnb :

- with so many properties it would be really useful if you could order by ascending price. Otherwise it's endless playing with the price sliders. Airbnb seems allergic to this feature.

- lack of map view makes figuring out what is where extremely frustrating. Very few properties have location in title. How about giving distance to a point of interest the guest selects. Would make it so much easier, or nearest tube station etc.

- pictures of many properties show artistic piles of towels etc but avoid showing bed, living area etc. Airbnb should provide more guidance as they have with Plus on what to show.

- properties without reviews remain a black hole. Why not have some way (similar to plus) to validate them. Are they real ? Some look suspicious. No way to tell until some goes to book.

@Pete28   There is a map,  it's  zoomable and you can move it to the area you are interested in and see what is available and click for more details. You can also add filters to sort for specific neighborhoods.   btw: Good idea re: 'Sort by Price' would be a helpful feature.

I think that it's fairly simple to weed out all the iffy ones, especially if you are in the know (as you are). Perhaps ask the family where they think you should stay, or ask in one of the London Facebook forums?

Happy to help you pin down an area if you need it. But I'm very much 'west is best'.
